ITINERARY

Day 1 After being picked up from your door and taken to our coach, we travel west via Llangollen, making suitable refreshments stops along the way and reaching our hotel in Abergele late afternoon.

Day 2 We travel along the North Wales coast and cross the Menai Straits onto the Isle of Anglesey. During our day on the isle, we will visit Beaumaris, an historic town with medieval castle, Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse. Of course we also visit the James Pringle Weavers Complex at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!

Day 3 After breakfast, we travel via Beddgelert to Caernarfon, dominated by the towers and battlements of the impressive castle, standing guard over the Menai Straits. After lunch we continue to Llanberis to board the Llanberis Lake Railway for a one-hour steam train ride, before returning to our hotel.

Day 4 Pausing at Betws-y-Coed, we take the pretty road south, through the lush Welsh countryside to Portmeirion. This famous Italianate village was the setting for the TV show ‘The Prisoner’, and stands on a rugged clifftop overlooking Cardigan Bay. We then join the famous Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog for a train journey to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Here we rejoin our coach and return to our hotel.

Day 5 Leaving Abergele after breakfast, we travel southwards toward home making suitable refreshment stops along the way. We reach the local area early evening where we meet our taxis.
