Trouville HotelStars Sandown

Originally known as ‘Guadalupe Terrace’ and converted into a hotel in the 1930s, The Trouville is situated on The Esplanade in Sandown with sweeping views of the bay from the bar and the restaurant. The rooms offer telephone, TV , radio and hospitality tray. For leisure you could try short mat bowling, pool, darts or table tennis. The hotel has a lift.

ITINERARY

Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we make our way across Hampshire for the mid morning ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth. We have time in Yarmouth to get some lunch and then take a scenic drive across the island to our hotel in Sandown. This evening we have a welcome drink before dinner and entertainment.

Day 2 Christmas Eve; The Sandown Christmas Market could be explored this morning before returning to the hotel for a light lunch. This evening we have Christmas Carols in the lounge before dinner and entertainment in the ballroom. For those attending Midnight Mass, a hot toddy welcomes you back.

Day 3 Christmas Day; Happy Christmas! This morning the Trouville Treasure Hunt, a traditional Christmas lunch followed by games and bingo. A buffet dinner is followed by entertainment in the ballroom.

Day 4 Boxing Day; This morning we travel to Havenstreet and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for a 50-minute round trip with mince pies and a drink included. We return for hot punch and the Chef’s Grand Boxing Day Carved Buffet. In the evening the Boxing Day Gala Night followed by dancing in the ballroom.

Day 5 We return via Shanklin and Arreton Barns to Fishbourne and our ferry to the mainland, where we make our way along the coast and home.
