We start our day at the horticultural work of art, Sheffield Park Gardens, a magnificent, landscaped garden laid out in the 18th Century by 'Capability' Brown.
Take in the striking surroundings including over 80 champion trees, vistas created by a collection of trees and shrubs, and wander around a series of lakes with meandering paths and bridges, through glades and woodland where the centrepiece is the original four lakes.
In the afternoon we make our way to the Bluebell Railway for a delicious cream tea as we journey through picturesque Sussex countryside. There is free time to visit the museum and shop upon our return.
