After a comfort stop in Guildford, we reach Windsor around lunchtime. Windsor and The Royal Borough lie to the west of London in the charming rural countryside of Royal Berkshire.

The River Thames flows through the whole of the Royal Borough and marks the boundary between Windsor and Eton. Steeped in history, there are interesting walks to enjoy, historic gardens, boat trips and open top bus tours, excellent shopping and dining, and of course Windsor Castle.

It’s perfect for a day trip. Whether your interest is heritage or shopping, there is plenty to see and do before heading home early evening.
