After our local pickups we make our way Guildford Cathedral for our coffee/comfort break, we then continue on to Biggleswade for the Shuttleworth Collection home of the 'Edwardian Flying Machines, a unique flying collection showcasing the first one hundred years of flight. Also on display are vintage cars & motorbikes and carriages and much more. There is a restaurant. Afterwards spend time in the Swiss Garden
A visit takes you back to the early 19th century, when an interest in ornamental gardening and picturesque architecture first came together. Created in the 1820s by Lord Ongley, is a late Regency garden and an outstanding example of the Swiss picturesque. Interesting things to see in the garden are, a grotto and fernery, a thatched tree shelter, an Indian Pavilion, two ponds and many fine specimens of shrubs and conifers, plus some remarkable trees.
