Its cathedral is one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Britain. Early afternoon we transfer to Downton Cuckoo Fair, with over 250 craft and other interesting stalls (some in marquees); rural craft demonstrations; maypole; Morris dancing; street entertainment; music from Downton Brass Band.
