We begin our cruise at 4pm passing historic Greenwich; as it is fully dark the green laser projecting from the Old Royal Observatory which marks the Prime Meridian will be visible. The London Docklands are breathtaking sight at night, a blaze of colour and light. We pass under a floodlit Tower Bridge into the Upper Pool of the Port of London passing the Tower of London and HMS Belfast, with views of the Monument, St Paul’s Cathedral and then on to Bankside with views of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern art gallery moving on to the West End with the warm golden tones of the Palace of Westminster.
