On our outward journey we stop for refreshments at Golden Acres Garden Centre.

We continue on to the caves. A natural wonder. Carboniferous limestone formed in the warm Southern Oceans from the remains of sea creatures millions of years ago, and rose out of the Northern sea as two tectonic plates collided. The whole south side of the Gorge includes the highest inland limestone’s cliffs in Britain and their caves, a 360 acre Nature Reserve, several visitor attractions with a café-bar.
