Avebury Manor has just reopened following a major transformation for the BBC series ‘The Manor Reborn’ .

The 500 year old Grade 1 listed Manor has undergone an amazing historic six month makeover by a team of historians, designers, master craftsmen and dedicated Trust volunteers as they breathe new life in to the Manor and gardens.

Nine rooms have been renovated to reflect the different tastes, fashions and historical eras relevant to periods in the Manor's history; from early Tudor through Georgian, Queen Anne, Victorian, Edwardian and 20th century styles as researched and unearthed through the Manor's extensive archives.

The finished project is a unique experience for visitors, enabling them to interact with all of the objects and furniture, as well as sit on all of the chairs without fear of a thistle in their bottoms (a prickly deterrent found at most National Trust properties to protect delicate antiques).
